What type of camera should i use for photography?

I have a Sony 560x video camera, it shuts off to save power when its not recording,it doesn’t matter if you have it plugged into an outlet or using the battery.I think there is a way to modify it to not shut off when idle but doesn’t say anything about it in the manual.

Im playing Dungeon Keeper 2, during the campaign and the ‘my pet dungeon’ games, I am unable to create anything, select ’squares of dirt’ or do anything with my minions because the camera moves erratically all over the screen .. constantly.
Is there a patch or anything else that I can do (besides reinstalling), that will stop the camera moving unless I am moving my mouse across the screen?

You need to contact the college and talk to the teacher. they will recomend a camera. If you are short of money then have a look as second hand equipment, especially the semi pro stuff, you are going to get the quality video, but also they will offer much more control of the camera then normal domestic cameras have. you can connect external mic’s very important, A good camera still used by professionals worldwide is the canon XL1s and 2 and you can get one for around 1000-1500, the camera is going to give you much better quality then most of the “home cameras” I have one I have used for many years still works perfectly. video is chrisp and clear, and using an external mic I get fantastic audio. It will grow with you as you gain more experience in filming you can start to control the camera rather then using auto functions. as you transfer the video via Firewire then there is no problems if you use PC or MAC’s

I agree with RR, Cannon’s XL 1 or 2. Perhaps Sony PD 150 or 170. Those are basic, and they film with DV tapes. You’ll need a DV tape deck along with a firewire to connect the deck to your computer for editing and posting.
