The Pavlovian response is nearly always “Canon!” “Nikon!” as though there were no other choices. Sony, Pentax and Olympus all offer very good DSLRs with a more than adequate selection of lenses and accessories.

The debate over which is better is the photographic equivalent of “Is Chevy better than Ford?” Olympus “cheats” (in my opinion) by using in-camera IS in some models but not all.
I suggest going to each manufacturers’ web site and reading the specs on the different models. Write down the model number and what features it has that appeal to you.
