What digital camera (under $300) has the fastest refresh rate?

I’m looking for an affordable digital camera to take pictures for mainly concerts.
If you own a camera that you suggest, could you attach a picture from a concert that you have attended so I can fully see how well the camera is?
Thanks!
How about a cheaper camera and a 600mm mirror lens? It would be a great moon lens but would have limited use otherwise –
and they are fairly inexpensive.
You do need a good camera, but more important for taking pictures of the moon would be a really good lens, which can run you over what you said your bubget is.
Goos lenses arent cheap.
They need a specific camera mount.
This photo was taken with 35mm, hand held, through the eyepiece of my 8 inch reflector.
Ok, so for school, i’m taking a photography class, and it said that i need a camera with a manual lens openings and manual shutter speed controls.
what exactly are those?
I have a digital camera.
Is this fine for the class?
Also, it said that “no point shoot or automatic only cameras would be allowed”
What is that?
thnks.
In class what they really want you to learn in photography…
not just how to point an automatic camera and press the button.
Manual control cameras give you an entire new outlook on photography, operating the equipment and actually doing the work yourself.
A digital SLR will do that but I’m wondering if your instructor would accept that.
Because, if I was teaching the class, I would know that you could cheat by using the auto controls and just saying that you did everything manually.
A really good learning tool would be an older 35mm SLR film camera.
I’ve owned a few and they weren’t automatic –
you had to do everything including learning how to use a light meter and then exposing your film based on that reading –
along with focus, framing, composition and the rest.
You can control shutter and aperture manually with a dSLR. Since the instructor did not mention film then your dSLR would be acceptable.
